About Us
Vision Statement:
Connectivity through Leadership
“In life, career and business, we have the responsibility to ourselves, our families and all those around us to be the best we can be; only then we can make the biggest contribution. When listening to the safety briefing on any aircraft, if the oxygen masks drop from the ceiling, we are told to put them on ourselves first and only then help others. It is the same in life. To be the greatest help and inspiration to others, or in order to make the greatest contribution, be successful yourself first, then help others do the same for themselves.” David Holland, Life Rules OK, page 31
Mission Statement:
To facilitate a sense of belonging amongst members of the Halton community through events and programs and to use passion as the foundation for empowering individuals to build an inclusive community that enables leadership development.
Our Values:
Inclusion
To welcome members of the Halton community within the organization in the capacity they best fit. Furthermore, since Inspire Halton is solely comprised of volunteers, it is important to demonstrate an appreciation for the volunteers and encourage their participation.
Innovation
To foster creativity that enables Inspire Halton to be different in not only its mission but also in the way that the organization facilitates connectivity and leadership in the Halton community.
Integrity
To uphold strong moral principles while demonstrating positive characteristics that enable personal development and community building. In Inspire Halton, this implies a culture of honesty which promotes Inspirees to keep the commitments that they’ve made to others.
Persistence
To continue pursuing a goal or project despite the challenges and difficulties that may arise during the process. In Inspire Halton, this implies maintaining a good attitude throughout the process of planning, implementing and evaluating a program or event.
Providing an Education
Inspire Halton aspires to provide an education to participants and the community, in turn leading to encouraging Inspirees to give back to their community. Therefore, Inspire Halton’s education goals are to:
1) Improve oneself through personal or formal education
2) Share and allow others to experience what you’ve learned in individual and/or group settings
3) Continue to develop the Inspire Halton program – to lead by example and encourage others to help lead their community
